Interview help
Frameworks, common questions, and an AI coach to help you prep.
The STAR method
The most reliable framework for answering behavioral questions ("tell me about a time...").
S · Situation
Set the scene in one or two sentences: where, when, what was going on.
T · Task
What were you specifically responsible for? Not the team. You.
A · Action
The steps you actually took. This is the part interviewers weight most. Be concrete.
R · Result
What happened, ideally with a number or outcome. If you learned something, say that too.
Common interview questions
- Tell me about a time something went wrong on a job: what happened and how did you fix it?
- Describe a time you disagreed with a supervisor or coworker. How did you handle it?
- Why are you looking to leave your current role?
- Tell me about a time you had to learn something new quickly.
- How do you handle a customer or client who's upset?
- What's a mistake you made and what did you change afterward?
General tips
- Bring 2-3 specific stories you can adapt to different questions. Most behavioral questions are really asking for the same handful of themes (a mistake, a conflict, a win, a fast learn).
- Research the company's recent jobs/reviews on Kareer Score itself before you go in. It's a fast way to sound informed about what they actually value.
- Arrive (or log on) 10 minutes early. For on-site/job-site interviews, treat the parking lot and hallway as part of the interview.
- Prepare 2-3 questions to ask them. "What does success in this role look like after 90 days?" works almost everywhere.
